Peruvian avocado exports fall 11% in week 25, but remain above 2024 levels.

Peru exported a total of 1,296 containers of avocados, representing an 11% decrease compared to the previous week. However, compared to the same period in 2024, the volume remains higher, with a 10% increase, reflecting a still-strong season year-on-year.

Europe remained the main destination for Peruvian fruit, absorbing 55% of weekly shipments. It was followed by the United States with 18%, Asia with 11%, Chile with 10%, and other markets that together accounted for approximately the remaining 5%.

So far this year, through week 25, Europe has consolidated its leadership as the main destination market, accounting for 61% of total exports. The United States and Asia have maintained a similar share, with 14% each, while Chile has represented approximately 7%.

This annual distribution aligns with the trend observed in weekly flows, with no significant changes in the structure of destination markets.
