Chilean avocado exports grow 82% weekly and expand in Europe, Asia and Latin America

During the close of week 40, Chile registered the export of 430 containers of avocados, representing an 82.2% increase compared to the previous week and a 3.1% increase compared to the same period last year. This surge confirms the strong performance of the 2025-2026 season, which has so far seen a total of 1,841 containers shipped to various international destinations.

The European market remains the primary recipient of Chilean fruit, accounting for 81.9% of shipments. Latin America follows with 12.6%, and Asia with 4.2%, a distribution that reflects the diversification of destinations achieved by the country at this stage of the season. Within each region, Chile's position is progressively strengthening: it represents 6% of European imports, 1% of the US market, and 20% in China, an indicator of the growing importance of Chilean exports in global markets.
