Resounding Success at Fruit Logistica 2024

The renowned Fruit Logistica, the world's leading trade fair for the fresh produce industry, held this year, reaffirmed its status as the international epicenter of the sector. With over 66,000 visitors, 24,000 exhibitors, and 450 media representatives, the fair hosted 2,770 exhibitors showcasing their latest innovations.

This international gathering saw a majority of visitors from abroad, with four out of five coming from different countries, representing 145 nations among visitors and exhibitors. The event brought together industry leaders, covering the entire global value chain, and more than 70% of the professional visitors held decision-making roles. At a critical time, facing challenges such as cost pressures and climate change, Fruit Logistica offered a crucial opportunity for networking, according to Kai Mangelberger, the event director.

Satisfaction was evident, with approximately half of the exhibitors closing deals during the trade fair, according to preliminary survey results. Furthermore, around 90% expect post-fair business to be "satisfactory" to "very good." Participants expressed overall approval, with approximately 90% recommending Fruit Logistica to others in their business circles, and the same percentage planning to participate in next year's edition.

Business activity among trade visitors was also noteworthy, with over 80% identifying new business opportunities and around 95% rating their overall experience as positive, recommending the event to colleagues or business partners. This success reinforces the importance of face-to-face meetings, especially in challenging times, and it has been confirmed that there will be no increase in stand rental prices for next year.
