Colombia gains greater prominence in Europe

Amidst the growth of Colombian harvests, the priority has been exporting fruit to Europe. Along with reaching a 16% market share on that continent this week, their harvests increased by 18% compared to the previous week.

At the close of week 40, 166 shipments were sent. Of these, 95% (157 containers) were dispatched to Europe and the rest to the United States (5%), where - just like Chile - it does not exceed 1% participation, due to the overwhelming presence of Mexico.

Remember that the details of each figure and the weekly evolution of the movements in the global avocado market in all markets and origins can be found in the Avobook Premium Report for Week 41.
