Colombia: Avocado exports are focused on Europe with 97.40% of the volume exported in week 39

Colombia has increased its weekly export volume and will be a major player in the global avocado market in 2024, with strong export growth. In week 39, the country shipped 154 consignments, 20.31% more than the previous week and an impressive 275.61% more than the same week last year. Of the total shipments, 150 went to Europe and 4 to the United States.

In the year to date, Europe leads as the main destination for Colombian avocados with a 74.16% share, followed by the United States with 25.03%.
