China: Year-on-year volume continues to plummet

China has experienced a significant decrease in the volume of avocados received during week 35. Only 15 shipments were recorded, representing a 74% drop compared to the same week last year.

Despite this reduction, an increase is expected in the coming weeks, with projections of between 25 and 30 containers. Chile will soon join the Asian giant's market, in a replacement process following the end of the Peruvian season.

Regarding prices, a slight decrease has been observed in the larger calibers, with an increase in the same proportion in the medium and small calibers, narrowing the gap between calibers.

Remember that the details of each figure and the weekly evolution of the movements of the world avocado market in all markets and origins can be found in the Avobook Premium Report of Week 35.
