China receives more avocados from Peru, although the market continues to experience unstable shipments.

During week 29, the Chinese market received a total of 57 containers of avocados from Peru, reflecting an increase compared to the previous week. However, projections for the coming weeks indicate that the irregular supply flow from the South American country will continue.

Based on shipments already made, this intermittency is expected to persist, with some weeks receiving as few as 30 containers, others 50, and still others higher volumes, such as 120. This variability has been a constant in the recent behavior of the Chinese market, creating a scenario of difficult prediction regarding supply.

In terms of prices, there was a slight increase of 8% in sizes 18 to 24 compared to the previous week. However, current prices are still 14% below the levels reached in 2024. Although the market has shown remarkable stability since week 20, some precedents from previous years suggest that there could be a significant increase starting in week 30, so it is recommended to closely monitor price developments in the coming weeks.
