Chinese market – Arrival dynamics

China doubles its arrivals, driven by strong support from Peru

China received 49 shipments, almost double the weekly amount. Peru accounted for 71% of the volume, in a market with stable prices.

A total of 49 shipments entered the Chinese market during the period analyzed, nearly double the number recorded the previous week. The increase was driven primarily by Peru, which accounted for 71% of the volume, while the remainder came from Chile.

The increase represents one of the largest volumes of Peruvian arrivals to this destination this year. However, the jump should be viewed in context: the previous week only one arrival from Peru had been recorded, reflecting the intermittent nature of the Chinese market observed last year, which could be repeated this season.

In terms of prices, no significant variations were recorded. Values remained relatively constant compared to the previous week and are at levels similar to those observed in the same period of 2025 and even 2024.

In week 7 of last year, the market showed different trajectories depending on the reference season: in 2025 prices were rising, while in 2024 they were experiencing a sharp decline at this same time. Currently, prices are at a level comparable to those historical records.
