Chile maintains its leadership in Europe, despite a weekly drop of over 25%.

Chilean avocado shipments ended week 47 with 211 shipments, a decrease of more than a quarter compared to the previous week. Year-over-year, the decline was also 25%, a stark contrast to the rebound observed during the same week last year. The current trend confirms a different pattern than that of last season: since week 41, Chilean shipments have maintained a continuous decline without registering any significant recovery.

In terms of destinations, Europe accounted for 54% of Chilean shipments during the week, followed by Latin America with 26% and Asia with 19%. The United States received less than 1%, a level that reflects the sustained loss of relevance of that market for Chilean fruit at this stage of the season.

Despite the weekly decline, Chile continues to lead in Europe with a 41% market share, and also maintains a significant presence in China, where it accounted for 70% of the volume in week 48. However, analysis of the weekly change indicates that the most significant adjustment occurred in Europe, which reduced its share as a destination for Chilean fruit. In contrast, Latin America showed an increase in its market share, while Asia remained stable.
