Chile increases its avocado exports by 27% weekly and consolidates its leadership in Europe
Chilean avocados continue to gain momentum in the international market. In week 42, the country recorded an export volume of approximately 526 containers, a figure considered high and exceeding initial expectations. This level represents a 27% increase compared to the previous week and 69% more than in the same period last year, reflecting a remarkably dynamic season.
Europe remains the primary destination, accounting for 72% of total shipments, while Latin America absorbed 16%, and the United States and Asia each received 6%. This distribution confirms the strength of the European market as the central focus of the Chilean season, followed by its growing influence in regional markets and a stable presence in destinations outside the region.
The 2025/26 campaign is following a very similar trend to last season, with the exception of the week of the National Holidays, when an exceptional peak in shipments was recorded. In recent weeks, volumes have remained high and consistent, indicating more balanced planning in fruit distribution.
In the cumulative analysis, the destination structure remains practically unchanged: Europe accounts for 73% of total exports, Latin America is second with 20%, and Asia and the United States complete the picture with smaller but stable shares.
