Chile begins Hass avocado exports for the 2024-2025 season

Avocado exports from Chile have started earlier this year, a significant contrast to last year. In 2023, Chilean avocado exports began in week 30. However, in 2024, the season started in week 28, reflecting an earlier start and better preparation by Chilean producers.

The campaign kicked off with the shipment of 67 tons of avocados to Latin America in week 28. This initial volume represents a modest but significant start, laying the foundation for a progressive increase in exports.

In week 29, exports showed a notable increase, with a total of 116 tons of avocados distributed between the US, Latin America and Europe.

By the end of week 30, an even greater expansion in exports was observed. In total, 2 containers were shipped to the US and 4 to Latin America.
