Drop in Peruvian avocado shipments: a time lag or lower fruit availability?

At the close of week 4 of 2025, Peru registered a total of 47 avocado shipments, representing an 8% decrease compared to the previous week. This drop in export volumes was primarily distributed among Europe, Asia, and Chile. Of the shipments made, 51% were destined for the European market, while 45% went to Asia, and 4% to Chile.

What stands out in this report is the difference compared to last year's performance. During the first four weeks of 2025, Peru has registered lower export volumes than in the same period of 2024.
