Avocados Australia Limited, representing the Australian avocado industry, has officially entered the Indian market, marking a significant milestone for Indian growers and the fresh fruit market, with Brett Lee as its ambassador.

Avocados Australia Limited, the body representing the Australian avocado industry, made its long-awaited entry into the Indian market, accompanied by cricket icon Brett Lee as its ambassador.

The announcement was made at the Avocados Australia trade launch reception held in New Delhi, India. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both Australian growers and the Indian fresh fruit market.

In line with the growing harvest, the country is also looking to find new markets for avocados, as increased exports will be crucial for the industry's viability.

“The introduction of Australian avocados to the Indian market represents a promising step between our nations. It is a testament to the growing bilateral ties and the potential for future collaborations in the agricultural sector,” said Australian High Commissioner to India, Nick McCaffrey.

John Tyas, CEO of Avocados Australia, emphasized the importance of India: “We are excited to bring the exceptional flavor and nutritional benefits of Australian avocados to the Indian market.
