APEAJAL renews its board of directors with Saúl Medina Tejeda as President
The Association of Avocado Producers and Exporters of Jalisco (APEAJAL) has announced the renewal of its Board of Directors for the period 2025-2027, with the presence of representatives from the producer and packing sector, reinforcing the commitment to unity and strengthening the avocado sector in Jalisco, as well as promoting the development of its members.
During this event, the new members who will lead the Association were formally appointed. The new Board of Directors is composed of:
- President: Saúl Medina Tejeda, a prominent avocado producer in Jalisco with a solid track record in promoting responsible agricultural practices and integrating small producers into the export chain, as well as promoting Jalisco's fruit in global markets
- Secretary: Eliseo Márquez Chávez, who will contribute his experience and knowledge in the field of avocado production and export.
- Treasurer: María Gabriela Rodríguez Gómez, who will be in charge of the financial management of the association and ensure transparency in the administration of resources.

Objectives and challenges of the new directive:
The new board of directors of APEAJAL aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Jalisco avocados in the international market, promote transparency and the development of its members, and consolidate Jalisco's position as one of the leading producers of high-quality avocados.
"We have assembled a team that is representative of the sector, committed to the technical, commercial, and social work that this crop demands. We will focus on continuing to open markets and ensuring fair conditions for producers," Saúl Medina Tejeda emphasized after his appointment.

The Association of Avocado Producers and Exporters of Jalisco (APEAJAL) brings together avocado producers, packers and exporters from the state, with the aim of representing their interests, promoting good agricultural practices and facilitating access to international markets.
APEAJAL has been a key player in consolidating Jalisco avocados as a world-class product, especially after the opening of the US market in 2022.
