Peru surpasses 1,400 containers and reinforces its leadership in Europe

Peruvian shipments grew compared to the previous week and last year, consolidating Europe as their main destination.

Peru continues to strengthen its presence in the international avocado trade. During week 21, it exported 1,408 containers, registering growth compared to the previous week and also compared to the same period last year, a sign of dynamism for the season.

Europe remained the main destination for Peruvian fruit, accounting for nearly two-thirds of shipments. The United States, Chile, and Asia followed, markets that continue to absorb a significant portion of the country's export supply.

Peru's position was also strengthened in the European market. During week 22, Peruvian origin accounted for 66% of arrivals to the continent, increasing its share compared to the previous week and reaffirming its leadership in one of the most important destinations for the industry.
