PERU ANALYSIS

Peru grows 59% and sends 62% of its avocado volume to Europe

Peru reaches 787 shipments. Europe accounts for 62% of the volume and Chile increases with 64 recent shipments.

Peru continued to strengthen its presence in the international market during week 12, reaching a total of 787 shipments. This figure represents a significant increase of 59% compared to the previous week and is also 26% higher than the same period last season.

The distribution of shipments reflects a clear orientation towards Europe, which accounts for 62% of the total exported volume. Asia is the second largest destination with 27%, while Chile is beginning to gain prominence with an 8% share. Other markets, meanwhile, make up approximately the remaining 2%.

In week 13, Peru maintains its relevance in the European market, representing approximately one third of the total volume arriving on the continent, consolidating itself as the main supplier at this stage of the season.

The Chilean market, meanwhile, is beginning to show increased activity. Shipments to this destination have been on the rise, with 64 shipments recorded recently, confirming an upward trend as Chile enters the final phase of its local season.

If this pace is maintained, it is possible that in the coming weeks shipments to Chile will approach or even exceed the 100 container mark, reinforcing its role as an attractive market in this commercial window, especially at the end of the campaign.
