Peru accelerates shipments and strengthens its presence in Europe

Peru reaches 494 shipments and allocates 87% to Europe

Peru reached 494 shipments at the close of week 11, with 87% directed to Europe, consolidating its position as the main supplier and in full growth phase.

Peru continues to advance its export campaign with sustained growth in shipment volumes. In week 11, the country registered 494 shipments, approaching the 500 weekly shipment threshold. This figure represents a 17% increase compared to the previous week and is 27% higher than that recorded in the same period of 2015.

In terms of destinations, Europe accounts for the majority of shipments, with 87% of the total. Chile ranks second with 10%, displacing Asia, which represents only 1%, while other markets in the Americas account for the remaining 1%.

This positioning is also reflected in the European market, where Peru has consolidated its position as the main supplier, reaching 26% of the total volume in week 12. The growth trend remains upward, with no setbacks anticipated in the short term. On the contrary, a sustained increase in shipments is projected, which could push weekly volumes above 1,000 units and, eventually, approach the peak levels recorded last year, exceeding 1,500 weekly shipments.
