Paraguay begins exporting Hass avocados to Argentina

An initial shipment of more than 5,000 kilos marks the start of the season, meeting phytosanitary requirements for the Argentine market.

Paraguay kicked off its Hass avocado export season with an initial shipment of 5,075 kilos to Argentina. The fruit, from the Guajayvi area in the department of San Pedro, met all required phytosanitary standards, thus securing its access to the international market.

The process was overseen by the National Service for Plant and Seed Quality and Health , which monitored the various production stages, from the field to the final inspection at the point of departure. After the corresponding verifications, the shipment was certified as meeting the quality and health standards required for export.

The shipment was handled by Misionero SRL, while Tropical Argentina SRL managed the import process. Industry representatives noted that this shipment is the first of several planned for the season, reflecting the growing demand for Paraguayan avocados in regional markets.
