Avobook Report Preview W52-2024

The United States receives twice as many shipments from Colombia, and Chile continues to be one of Europe's leading exporters.

Week 52 closed with significant activity in the main avocado markets. In the United States, imports reached 1,225 containers, a 6% weekly increase, although still 15% below the same period in 2023. Mexico continues to lead with 92% of the market, while Colombia doubled its share to 6%. In Europe, the 684 imported shipments show a 14% decrease compared to the previous week, with Israel, Colombia, and Morocco surpassing Chile in market share. Meanwhile, China registered 51 shipments, a 34% increase, led by Chile and Peru. Colombia closed with 222 exported containers, mostly to Europe, consolidating its share in this key market.
