Europe receives 24% more avocados in week 47, with Chile and Colombia leading exports

In week 47, avocado shipments showed significant increases in key markets. In the United States, 1,373 containers arrived, 7% more than the previous week and 20% more than in 2023, with Mexico dominating 96% of the market.

Europe received 776 containers (+24% week-on-week), led by Chile (38%) and Colombia (22%), while 40 containers arrived in China, mainly from Chile. Prices remained stable in most markets, both the US and Europe, although the latter saw declines in smaller sizes.

In Colombia, exports totaled 173 containers in week 46, with 83% destined for Europe, projecting to exceed 200 containers in December.
