Lower volume in the US and stability in Europe

The global avocado market continues to show marked contrasts between regions in week 42. In the United States, arrivals decreased by 8% compared to the previous week, with Mexico consolidating its dominance with a 90% share.

In Europe, shipments remain stable with 1,007 containers, although for the first time Chile surpasses Peru as the main supplier, reaching a 47% share compared to 25% for the Andean country.

In China, volumes increased slightly — by 5% weekly —, with shipments split almost equally between Peru and Chile.

In the case of Peru, exports fell drastically by 84%, confirming the end of its season, while Chile consolidates its progress with more than 500 containers and a weekly increase of 27%.
