Avobook Report Preview W40-2025

Mexico's shipments to the US grew by 38%, while Europe nearly doubled its volume compared to the same week in 2024.

International avocado trade has shown very dynamic behavior in recent weeks, with notable variations in volume and prices depending on the destination market. In the United States, 1,636 shipments entered during week 39, 86% of which came from Mexico, which also showed a 38% increase compared to the previous week.

Europe, for its part, closed week 40 with 1,035 shipments, almost double that recorded in the same period last year, with Peru concentrating 55% of the share and Chile incorporating more than 200 containers in its season.

In contrast, the Chinese market received only 15 shipments, representing a 29% drop compared to the previous week, with Peru and Chile reducing their shipments. Regarding the origins,

Peru exported 284 containers in week 39, down 43% from the previous week, although well above the 2024 volume, while Chile recorded 236 containers, in line with last season's levels.
