Avobook Report Preview W40-2024

Prices in Spain reach a new high, while in China they have been falling for two weeks.

Week 40 brings an interesting development in the Avobook Report: Spain reached a new price high, hitting $4 per kilo. This surpasses the price of $3.97 recorded in week 21.

The United States is dominated by Mexican fruit, which holds over 90% of the market share, with Chile beginning to catch up to Canada in second place, although much further behind (2.5%). This market shows a slight increase in the value of avocado transactions, which is consistent across all sizes.

China has seen two weeks of falling prices. In fact, they are the lowest prices of week 40 in the last three years.
