The avocado market in week 38 showed dynamic behavior with increased volumes and significant shifts in prices and destinations. The United States received 1,589 shipments, representing a 3% increase compared to the previous week and 23% above the same period in 2024. Mexico remains the main supplier with a 79% market share, while California increased its shipments by 18% and Peru reduced its shipments by 16%.

In Europe, the arrival of 1,025 containers marked a 15% increase compared to the previous week and 46% more than last year. Peru continues to lead with 72% of the volume, followed by Colombia with 11%, Kenya and Tanzania with 11%, South Africa with 4%, and Chile with 2%, which contributed 25 containers.

China, meanwhile, received 27 containers, 96% of which came from Peru, in addition to an initial shipment from Chile. Although the volume increased by 4% compared to the previous week, it remains 39% below the level reached during the same period in 2024. The average price was $4.20 per kilo for sizes between 18 and 24, a more moderate increase than in previous weeks.

Finally, Peruvian exports in week 37 reached 659 shipments, an 18% drop compared to the previous week, but more than double the figure for the same period last year. Europe accounted for 88% of shipments, consolidating its position as the main destination, while the United States received 6% and Chile 5%.
