Mexico consolidates its leadership in the US while Colombia cuts shipments

The avocado market performance in week 34 reflects significant shifts in key destinations. In the United States, 1,591 shipments were recorded, 2% higher than the previous week and 9% higher than the same period in 2024. Mexico leads with a 69% share, followed by Peru (19%), California (9%), and Colombia (3%), a country that reduced its shipments by 43%.

In Europe, 843 shipments arrived, 9% less than the previous week and 20% below what was recorded last year; Peru maintains 74% of the market although with a decrease of 17%, while South Africa, Kenya and Colombia show increases.

China received 51 shipments from Peru, double the volume of last year despite prices remaining 57% lower. At origin, Peru surprised with 1,106 containers exported, a 20% increase compared to the previous week and 74% more than in 2014.
