Peru and California tie in the US market; fruit sales decline in Europe

The Avobook Week 30 report reveals a 41% decrease in the supply of hectares for cutting in Mexico compared to last year. Peru and California are tied with a 25% share in the US market and will reduce volumes in mid-August, when Mexico's production begins to recover.

In Europe, Peru dominates with almost 90% participation, although the total volume is 16.4% lower than last week.

In Asia, shipments to China are lower than those to Japan for the first time this year. Fruit from Colombia and Chile is expected to arrive in Europe in Week 33.
