Avobook Report Preview W23-2025

The United States reduces imports, while Europe maintains a high volume of avocados.

The global avocado market showed mixed movements during week 23. The United States received 1,364 shipments, 5% fewer than the previous week, with Mexico leading the supply at 58% of the total, followed by California (20%), Peru (17%), and Colombia (5%). Notably, Californian volumes fell by 30%, while Peruvian volumes increased by 10%. Regarding prices, size 48 avocados rose by 5%, while size 70 avocados fell by 21%.

In Europe, 930 shipments arrived, a stable volume compared to the previous week but 40% higher than in 2024. Peru accounted for 82% of the market, while small sizes showed increases of up to 21% in Spain.

In China, with 106 containers from Peru, there was a 74% increase compared to last year.

Finally, Peru exported 1,502 containers, 17% more than the previous week, with increases to all major destinations.
