Price Increases and Export Growth from Mexico and Colombia

The avocado market in week 8 showed an increase in volumes shipped to the United States and Europe, accompanied by an upward trend in prices. In the US, imports grew 28% compared to the previous week, although they remain 20% below the same period in 2024. Mexico continues to lead with 85% of the market share, followed by Colombia (9%) and California (3%).

In Europe, supply has remained stable in recent weeks, with Israel and Spain dominating the market, while Peru is beginning to gain importance. In China, Peruvian avocado prices have risen for the third consecutive week, reaching 43% higher than last year.
