Avocado market in adjustment: impacts of the Chinese New Year and the Super Bowl

This week, China receives shipments from Peru, and after the Chinese New Year, it will be crucial to see if consumption picks up, potentially leading to a stabilization of prices. In the US, after the Super Bowl, it will be analyzed whether the volume remains stable or decreases with the arrival of fruit from California and Colombia. Mexico has reduced shipments to contain the price drop.

Chile continues to export to Latin American markets, while in Europe there is pressure on larger sizes, with prices falling, while smaller sizes are rising due to scarcity. Morocco, Spain, and Israel are finishing their seasons, and in the coming weeks, Peru will increase its shipments, which could influence market stability.
