Avobook Report Preview W05-2025

California is consolidating its position as the second largest supplier of avocados in the US, while shipments from Peru are already arriving in Europe.

The avocado market showed interesting dynamics in week 5. The United States saw an 8% increase in volume compared to the previous week and 32% more than in 2024. Mexico leads with an 85% share, while California surprised with 86% growth, and arrivals in Colombia increased by 57%. Prices have decreased across all sizes, especially for smaller ones, following the high demand during the Super Bowl.

In Europe, the market remains stable with a 13% increase in volume. Spain and Israel are leading the way, and Peru will gradually join them in the coming weeks. In China, volumes remain low and prices are adjusting, while Chile is maintaining a strong season, unlike Peru, which has reduced its shipments.
