Peruvian avocado prices fall 10% compared to 2025
Peruvian shipments fall 4% weekly, but Europe remains the main destination and accounts for most of the volume.
Avocado shipments from Peru showed a slight slowdown in week 16, with a total of 920 shipments recorded. This figure represents a 4% drop compared to the previous week and is 10% lower than that observed in the same period last year, reflecting a somewhat more subdued start to the season in terms of volume.

Despite this adjustment, the destination structure remains largely unchanged. Europe continues to be, by a wide margin, the main market for Peruvian fruit, accounting for 73% of shipments. Chile follows with 13%, a share that has been gaining ground in recent weeks, while other destinations represent approximately 4%.
Looking at the broader outlook for the 2026 season, Europe maintains its relative weight at similar levels, while Asia reaches a 17% share and Chile positions itself at around 8%. This balance confirms the strong dependence on the European market within Peru's export strategy.
In line with this, Peru not only leads in shipment volume, but also consolidates its position as the main supplier in Europe, reaching nearly 50% of arrivals to the continent in week 17, reaffirming its key role in the global supply of the avocado market.
