Mexico: Market Comments

Week 7 ended with a harvest of 31,716 tons, of which 26,611 tons were exported to the United States market, leaving about 200 loads in inventory that went to market yesterday, and the rest is distributed in other export markets and the national market.

The harvest remains very strong and there has been no drop in consumption after the Super Bowl promotions; even for this week 8, the number of hectares available in the list of clean orchards increased by just over 3,000 ht, mostly in municipalities of Michoacán.

This week we estimate that we will harvest another 30,000 tons; the important thing will be to see the behavior of demand and the increase in inventories in some sizes, especially in 48s and 60s.

The season continues to progress and we are past 70% of the harvest available for this season as estimated, it will be very interesting to see how much the estimate may vary in terms of the actual volume in the field.

Have a great week everyone.
